Versatile and heterogeneous robots in agriculture
Abstract
Precision agriculture has gained relevance in the last years for the benefits it provides to farmers and the environment. Those advantages range from pesticide and fertilizer savings to precise irrigation. Robotics has eased its applicability. Moreover, a lot of focus has been centered in the combination of heterogeneous robot systems to assist agricultural tasks. Therefore, research conducted on the merged field of precision agriculture and robotics is crucial to keep moving forward.
The aim of this Special Session is to bring together professionals researching and working with robots in agriculture, specifically using heterogeneous multi-robot systems in the agricultural domain.
